Creative Writing for SEO

Filed: Search Engine Optimization

Creating an organic search friendly site can be a huge task.

Keep in mind, Search Engines are looking for content heavy sites (along with several other factors that I will discuss in another article). The main idea is to fill your site with as much keyword as possible, but do it in a seamless way so as to not interfere with the visitor’s experience.

This is done through creative writing. Remember to “preach what you sell”. If you sell electric can openers, then make sure your site contains those words: electric can opener.

You may know what you sell, but the search engines do not unless you tell them. And remember, search engines can not read your nice “pretty pictures”. This tip sounds obvious, but surprisingly a vast majority or sites do not do this. This tiny bit of insight already puts you one step closer to the top of the rankings.

Again, look for creative ways to add those keywords to your site copy.

A good rule of thumb: 250 relative words per page. It sounds excessive in some instances, but the results will prove worth it.

Of course, there is no guarantee in organic search placement. But if you continue to work and enhance your content, you ARE guaranteed to see improvements.
