Today, we salute you: Mr. Clinging-to-Old-Marketing.

Despite what every analytics program tells you, you still believe that all marketing is good marketing. Since you believe we cannot measure newspapers, magazines, and foam fingers, we proceed with these campaigns.

You scoff at bad reviews and saying, “Bad press is better than no press”, while continuing to sink deeper and deeper into irrelevance.

Your lack of knowledge of your customer shines in comparison to your thoughts on social media. “Our customers are not on there”, you shout in every meeting.

Ignoring all evidence of bad spends and low conversion, you continue with print ads in over-priced, shiny magazines. “Statistics are for suckers”, you exclaim.

You bring together over-confidence and ignorance in a way that has never been done before. And for that, we salute you with OUR foam finger.

So this beer is to you Mr. Clinging-to-Old-Marketing, because without your ignorance, we would not look like geniuses.

  1. Fan-friggin-tastic John. We should have a few beers and salute this sometime. Maybe when you come back to Chas. or Columbia.

  2. Hilarious! Time to get out the Flip Cam, and fabricate OUR special foam finger.
