On March 6, Nashville’s best online minds gather to discuss “finding your digital voice”, at PodCamp Nashville. I often find myself trying to convince newbies to attend PodCamp. Because of that, I have put together my Top 5 Reasons to Attend PodCamp Nashville

1. There is something for everyone
From sessions on location-based services to information on paying your taxes, PodCamp Nashville has something for everyone

PCN is for you if: You are a marketer. You own a business. You are a software developer. You have a Facebook/Twitter account. You work in the music business. You create video. You are a graphic designer. You blog … I could go on and on. The point is … Yes, it is for you!

2. Network Opportunity
PodCamp is a perfect networking opportunity. A projected 500 attendees will be there, on a Saturday, to meet and greet others. Bring your business cards and strike up conversation. Whether you are looking for work looking or good employees, the best of the best will be at PodCamp Nashville

3. A Welcoming Audience
As a frequent speaker at BarCamp and PodCamp Nashville, I have learned a lot about the audience that attends. What I love most … is the love. Attendees are spending their free Saturday to learn about technology and marketing, so in a sense the event weeds out the uninterested.
PodCamp Nashville
The “uninterested” will not spend a Saturday attending. PodCamp attendees, or campers, are eager to learn. They also acknowledge your effort to help them. All speakers and attendees are treated with the utmost respect. At PodCamp everyone is a Rock Star and on level playing field.

4. Terrific Presenters
PodCamp brings out the best of Nashville. Experts in their fields show up to share their knowledge. The bloggers, geeks, developers, and companies that you follow are there. Sure every speaker may not be for you, but there are many speakers that are for you.

For example …
* Looking for a session on Style Sheets and web fonts? Check out Brad Blackman’s Web Typography session.
* Need help getting better search engine rankings for your blog? Try Wordpress SEO Strategies by Justin Briggs

5. It’s Free
Yes, PodCamp Nashville is free. Thanks to some great sponsors, all of these great sessions are able to come together for free.

Be sure to register to attend PodCamp Nashville, and while you are at it sign up for SEO Clinic: Organic Focused Site Reviews and let’s discuss your website.
See you on March 6th at PodCamp Nashville.

Appended on February 25, 6pm: Per my Feek Friends (Female Geeks), I was asked to add a 6th reason to attend PodCamp Nashville.

6. “Cute Boys”
Not my choice of words. That was provided by @courtenayrogers and @erincubert.
podcamp geek
But yes, it’s true. PodCamp Nashville will be filled with many “attractive” geeks, for those looking to hook-up with a geek. As a happily married man, that thought never occurred to me as I was making my list.

See you at PodCamp Nashville!
