Google recently announced the release on AdWords Editor 9.0. As always, they are leaps and bounds ahead of the competition.

There are a multiple changes within the new release, below are a few of the highlights.

  • Ad Sitelink Support – I am a big proponent of Ad Sitelinks. However, up until this point we were forced go back and forth from AdWords Editor to the online campaign management to setup SiteLinks. I am looking forward to see how easy this process will be with AdWords Editor, but either way it’s a major step in the right direction.
  • Multiple Mobile Targeting Options – The online AdWords interface has options to allow for multiple device targeting. This allows optimizers to choose and target Android, iPhone, iPad, and/or Palm operating systems. Now, this feature is available in AdWords Editor. I have not had a need, as of yet, to target one device over another. However, I could how this could be useful for very, precise targeted campaigns.
  • Improved MCC access – One of the major advantages Google has over MSN’s AdCenter is the ease of client management. Google has added another trick to their client management arsenal. This latest feature makes it to switch from client to client. AdWords Editor 8.0 now includes “A new dropdown menu above the Account tree in AdWords Editor displays recently accessed accounts, so that the user can quickly switch to any one of them.” – http://www.google.com/support/adwordseditor/bin/answer.py?answer=1219219
  • Are you an AdWords Editor fan? What are your thoughts on the latest upgrade?
