It seems Microsoft and Google have revved up the online battle on television.

Last week, Microsoft announced that Bing query results will have more Facebook integration. The hope is having your friends as influencers will persuade users to switch from Google to Bing. In conjunction with this announcement, Microsoft followed up with two commercials showing this integration.

Not to be out done, Google has increased their television presence by hiring who else? Lady Gaga. Although, it’s not a direct attack against Bing, it does go after Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and any other browsers. For those not into Lady Gaga, Google also has “Dear Sophie” pulling at the heart strings and “It Gets Better”, an inspiring video on the Dan Savage’s “It Gets Better” Project
