On June 28th, Google announced their latest attempt at connecting us all together with The Google+ project.
Google+ contains multiple new features designed to make these connections easier:
+Circles, +Sparks, +Hangouts, +Mobile, and +Huddle. The ultimate question will these have a larger impact then previous attempts at social, such as Orkut, Buzz, and Google Wave.
+Spark – Pulls customized content based on pre-defined interests
+Huddle – Group texting and IM
+Circle – Allows users to group people together in specific groups
+Hangouts – Brings your circles to video conference. (Will this compete with Skype?)
+Mobile and +Instant Upload – Connecting this all to mobile and GPS, could be the biggest selling point
Now What?
Google+ is available today in the Android Market, but yet only also not readily available to use. To hope for an early invite, try plus.google.com
